In a world of crazy busyness and over scheduling of ourselves and our children … I love that I have a place I can seek refuge … a place where my children seek refuge.
This is my office.
When we added onto the house a couple of years ago, I wanted to create a space big enough for the girls to come in and rest, watch TV, read, or waste time on their computers {think the teen}. And that’s exactly what we achieved.
Not only is this my prayer room in the early hours of the morning, it’s also a place the girls cozy up in before starting their day.
It’s a place that brings me peace and comfort. Honestly, even more so when I’ve got three girls cuddled up in it. And although, Dora, Hannah, Calliou and Barbie can be quite distracting at times … I wouldn’t trade this gathering place for anything.
The gift I’d like to unwrap for you today is … the ability to recognize, appreciate, or create a place of solace for yourself and your children.
What a beautiful idea to keep your children close when you are busy with work. Love it.
Love it! The sofa is beautiful. It looks like a very calm, peaceful space. Thanks for sharing!
