So really? Wow … how’d she grow so quickly? And wasn’t she just born yesterday?!? And has it really been a year since I’ve posted this and this?

Wynter was the smallest of all my girls … just a little six pounder! Although, she did make up for it pretty quickly!

Taylor stayed overnight in the hospital with me and each of her brand new baby sisters. I love that memory …
Yeah. We put her in a Christmas stocking.
And here she is today {on the right}! My six year old!
Wynter and Audrey have turned out to be really awesome friends. The photo on the left is from last year. They share a birthday. In fact, we’ve realized they were born just down the hall from each other … five hours apart! Pretty cool, huh?
Wynter has really been blossoming lately. She started an acting class a couple of months ago … we apparently felt the need to encourage the emerging drama queen! But really, she seems to be so much more open, and expressive, and willing to let others see it.
Maybe that’s the key, actually. Anyone that knows her would say she’s expressive. But now she’s letting more people see how expressive she can be.
She got a part as Rainbow Fish in a play their working on … how cute? I haven’t had a chance to rehearse her lines with her, but can’t wait to start doing that.
Wynt was SO excited for her birthday. She’s been singing happy birthday to herself since this weekend!
She got her ears pierced tonight … so brave that girl was! Not even a tear! I’ll post some pictures soon …
The day seems to have gone by so quickly. It was really important to me to say a birthday prayer with her … so before she got into bed, I took her aside and we prayed. And I loved it. And I want to be sure to do it with each of my girls on their birthdays. And I don’t know why I haven’t done it earlier.
Today, as cliche as it may sound … I’ve realized what a gift my children are.
Sometimes, I take them so for granted. All the whining, all the demanding, all the busyness … you sort of forget what miracles … blessings … gifts our children really are. So today, on Wynter’s special day … I’d like to unwrap for you the realization of how precious these little gifts are.
We’ve been charged with something pretty special here … let’s not take it for granted.
