LOVE this story! Along with all the inspirational and “self-help” books I read … I like to have a side of fun reading too! This book was an easy read and had me captivated through pretty much all of it.
It’s a story of Jackson, Mississippi in the throws of coping with segregation. One woman decides to write a book about “the help” in their town. Against all odds and through many trials … what?!? you don’t think I’m a spoiler do you!? ;)
One key line that brings it all home … “Wasn’t that the point of the book? For women to realize, we are just two people. Not that much separates us. Not nearly as much as I’d thought.”
Oh! and I hear a movie is in the works … but you should totally read the book first!
