vacation = blogcation

We’re headed out of town tomorrow on vacation … San Diego.  We had four family vacations planned this summer and ended up canceling two of them {I have yet to post about our first one to Canada}.

We normally travel most of the summer, but this summer … being my first official summer home … I really wanted to stick close to town.  So we did.

But now we’re going.  And I’m glad.

There’s something about being in a new place that always brings a sense of excitement. Whether it’s exploring new neighborhoods, soaking up the local culture, or simply enjoying time away from everyday responsibilities, vacations like these give you a chance to reset.

After all, we work hard to maintain balance, and sometimes a change of scenery is exactly what’s needed to give us that boost.

In fact, as much as I love discovering new spots, I often find myself drawn to beach destinations. I’ve always been captivated by coastal getaways—places like Bondi Beach in Australia, where the sun, surf, and laid-back atmosphere make it a dream destination. There’s something so special about the ocean breeze and the sound of the waves that’s incredibly rejuvenating.

With San Diego’s beautiful beaches, I know it’s going to be a relaxing trip. And as much as we love being home, taking this time away is a reminder of the beauty that exists in other parts of the world, just waiting to be explored.

It’s the kind of balance I’ve been craving, and I’m eager to dive into the adventure that awaits.

Everyone is starting to get just a.little.bit.cranky!  I think a vacay will do us some good!

Angie over at the creative mama went on ‘blogcation’ {love that word!!} last week.  I thought I’d do the same this week … take a little blogcation on my vacation.  :)

Blogcation.  I warned her I would use it.  Blogcation.

Okay, sorry … really like the word blogcation.

Anyway.

What I ended up doing is scheduling posts for this coming week and I may fill in with one or two of my favorite past posts.  So if you’re new to my blog, they’ll be new-to-you posts.

Enjoy!  And I’ll see ya after my … blogcation!  ;)

OH! and I may have a giveaway scheduled at the end of the week.  Just sayin’ …
