over lake michigan, and into ontario …

That’s where Hunter’s nukie’s ended up!!  Can you believe it?

{You can read about Hunter’s nukie party here and here}

We were in shock that we actually got a letter back!  And poor Huntie was shocked her nukie’s weren’t in the letter!  :(

The balloons {and nukie’s} ended up in Tobermory Ontario!  The family that found them actually live in Michigan, but have a summer home in Canada.

I’m amazed the balloons traveled all that way …

When we had Piper & Wynter’s party a few years ago, we sent off separate balloons for them, both with a letter and some money … but we’ve never heard anything back.  Maybe they’re in the middle of the ocean somewhere?

Anyway …

This was such a joy, that I wanted to share … {and ahem, better late than never …}

    Oh!!! Best story EVER!!! That’s amazing!! I’m so glad that the finder actually took the time to write back . . . and I love what she/he is donating the $20 to buy diapers! Very cool!! (Plus there’s a whole geography lesson in there, which makes this geek very happy!) :) Thanks for the update!!

    How fun that someone actually found the balloon and wrote you! And to boot, does a good deed with the $20!

    Wow! That is really neat to get a response. BTW, my daughter now has named stuffed girl pets ‘Hunter,’ because of your daughter.

    How cool is that??? I’m sooo excited for you guys…I think Hunter will appreciate it more when she’s older…but wow…the whole experience and story just gave me chills (good chills) reading it! And to top it off….in CANADA! Now THAT is pretty cool too :) Especially coming from a Canuck like “moi” ; )

    Wow that will make a neat keep sake for her – she still looks in my van for nukie’s :-) I think she did very well though giving them up.
