My most awesomest friend Heather gave this to me as one of my birthday gifts last year … so sweet! When she gave it to me, I kind of put it on my bathroom counter as an interim to either put it in my jewelry box or find a special spot for it. Instead … it’s stayed right where I left it and I’ve decided I rather like it there.
I see it when I brush my teeth, wash my face, dry my hair … even when I’m giving myself an injection.
I look at it, I read it … I smile … I know I’m loved … I know I’m blessed.
I think it’s important that we leave ourselves little reminders to lift our spirits or brighten the worse of days. Truly … I don’t think there’s a time that I’ve looked at this gift and haven’t smiled.
What note can you leave for yourself today that will bring a smile to your face? And even better … is there a note you can give to a friend that will brighten their day?

what a great note… i have been thinking that i need to get back to my note giving ways… and this might just be the push i need!
what a great gift! and i love that you left it there…the place that we sometimes feel the worst about ourselves! blessings to you today!
it is incredible what words can do huh? i had forgotten i even gave this to you and here you look at it every day & smile! i love that! oh and i meant every word of it…you are the best friend i could ever imagine and an amazing woman! i love you!
i love this idea. and i know just the friend that needs to hear these words every day right now. thank you for sharing this idea – so inspiring! can you imagine how much better life would be if we could all treat ourselves with just a bit more kindness and love? starting with ourselves and watching it flow out, to touch others. *sigh*
This is truly a lovely blog! I am quite taken with photography blogs. Anyway, the gift from your friend is even sweeter, and I think it is in the perfect place too! Don’t you want your friend hanging out with you while you are putting on your make up? I miss those days!
I have to tell you as well, that I have 4 girls as well…I believe I have called them vibrant, which is pretty much the same thing as vivacious! I’m sure we could compare notes!
Found you through Tuesdays Unwrapped! I will be back,
Stacey
You’re right. We should do this. I think of special quotes, then I get busy and forget to follow through.
God still has ways of reminding me. Like this post!
This is so lovely!!! What a beautiful & special gift from the heart. This reminds me of a little Christmas tag my friend gave me one year— it simply said, “to my wonderful friend Katherine” I don’t remember the gift but her words forever touched my heart. Thanks for reminding us that our WORDS can be powerfully postive tool. AND I happen to agree with your friend HEATHER– yep every bit of it!!!!!!!
I think one of my greatest wishes would be to have the kind of friends that you have. You are truly blessed to have such amazing people around you. I’ve said that before but, you’re friends seem like truly wonderful people.
AND! that first picture? maybe, one day, (once I get a new camera, of course!) I can start to learn how to take a few photographs like that. BEAUTIFUL!
