slip slidin’ away …

And when you’re humming that tune later today, you can thank me!

This was the best twenty bucks I’ve spent in a long time!  The girls had hours of fun on it … and I had one of the best laughs I’ve had in a while after I took my turn!  Let’s all shout a hallelujah that no one got that on film!

Have a great weekend everyone!  I hope you get a chance to do some slip slidin’ yourselves …

we’ve got hoopfest/shootouts all weekend with daisy’s summer bball team. it’ll be a good ramp-up to their bball camp all next week. can’t believe how incredibly busy her summer is, and how full her sports plate has suddenly gotten. i fear that this one weekend is only going to open the floodgates of activities & softball games & various sports practices & volleyball car washes & camps & time away from her mama. like i’ll wake up monday, only to discover it’s the end of august, time for her to head back to school, and i’ll not even recognize her. she’ll just do so much growing up without me this summer! oh well. it is what it is, right? :) ::weekend hugs::

Funny you should post that with that particular song…I was just singing that song to my hubby last night for one reason or another…I forgot already why! He calls that sometimers disease…LOL! I remember when we bought a slip ‘n slide for our kids…it wore a major rut in the backyard…that took, get this THREE years to fill back in! Wow! Hopefully you’re not too picky about how your lawn looks. The memories, however, are so well worth a ripped up lawn! HAPPY FRIDAY!!! :)

I am ashamed to admit that I have never, no not once, EVER, been on a slip ‘n slide. Fo’ realz. Since we had a pool growing up, apparently my parents thought a slip ‘n slide was redundant or something. Now, of course, I’d probably break a hip . . .

Love the bumper rail on it! Much fancier than the ones from back in the day!

I LOL of the thought of my neighbors watching me head down the slip n slide in the front yard. think we are a little to urban for grown-up slip sliding (or there would at least have to be alcohol involved) :-)

Wow, slip and slides have come a long way from the straight yellow slip and slide around when I was a kid. So Fun!

What a great series of shots. And for only $20? By the looks on their faces it really was worth every penny. Love the one with her tongue out. Thanks so much for linking your fun water shots up to our Crazy Days of Summer Photo Challenge!

Loved seeing the slip n slide pics! Haven’t been a big fan since my kids participated in a summer camp where the brainiac in charge decided scissors were a good way to anchor the slide to the hill…no joke! This looks much safer!!

The last time we had a Slip N Slide, I went down it more than I should have and I could barely walk the next day! There really isn’t anything better than good old fashioned fun though!

I remember how much fun those were! My teenage boys made one once a few summers ago with a hose, plastic tarp and veggie oil! Too funny, they had a great time though.

These shots are great! The seventh shot is my favorite. :) I posted photos of my kids with their Slip-n-Slide this past Wednesday. It died after 20 minutes of fun, but at least I got a bunch of great shots! lol
