The reason for my post is two-fold … first, I have an important resource to share, but secondly, an even more important lesson.
I have no shame in calling myself an over-protective mom, and seriously, in today’s world I pretty much have to be. I’m very careful about what my girls watch on TV or in the theater. In fact, my {one-month-away-from-being} sixteen year old still asks permission to see a PG-13 movie … something she does even when she’s at a friends house, or visiting her dad.
Join me over at the MODsquad blog where I’m sharing what I’ve learned.

You can bet I will be using this from now on. thank you for sharing. i’m so glad you went with your gut when He was speaking to you. Your girls are very blessed to have you as their mommy.
http://www.pluggedin.com is also a great resource from Focus on the Family.
This is great as I have had the same issue with the girls. Just because it’s a kids movie doesn’t mean it’s appropriate for kids. Go figure . . .
I agree with you, I wouldn’t have wanted my children exposed to that kind of language either thanks very much! :O
we use pluggedinonline.com
i cringe when my friend says her son is going to see something that just sounds too old… and i agree that just because it says pg13 doesn’t mean it is appropriate for someone 13!!!! yikes!
